Counter-terrorism website to provide...

The New South Wales Government has started a new counter-terrorism website that it says would be used to provide crucial information in the event of a terrorist attack.

The site provides tips on how to prepare for an emergency situation and would be updated with the latest alerts, evacuation advice and information if a terrorist attack occurred.

Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione has admitted the site might struggle if it is inundated with visitors, but he rejects claims that using the internet as a medium to communicate information in an emergency.

"At times of emergency we've found that the only link that has stood up anywhere in the world has been the internet and so it would be wrong and negligent if we didn't exploit that," he said.

"Terrorists use the internet for terrible purposes - we should use it for every good purpose possible, and that in fact would be that at the time of an attack. It's a great way to talk."

The Security Camera sees the site as a step forward in the communication of information but any body in the locality of a terrorist attack may not be able to access it but maybe for worried families it may be a useful medium to get information from.

The Security Camera: Opening

The Security Camera is a site orientated with the security of the current world. With situations arising globally which could affect the security of mutiple nations, the tracking of these different terrors and news of it around the world.
